Leading
researchers discuss issues relating to emerging issues in
the area of ICT and Travel & Tourism research, the process of
conducting thesis research as well as guidelines for publishing
in IT and tourism journals.

Ph.D. candidates
exhibit and briefly present their proposals (for about 10
minutes) in a “research in Progress Session.” The presentations introduce the ideas/issues in their thesis.

Supervisors and
students break into groups depending upon
topic and extent of progress toward thesis completion.
Participants in these parallel sessions discuss issues related to students’ research projects.

At the end of the
workshop, each group summarizes the key insights
from the breakout sessions and all participants share contact information.

Students,
researchers and others gather for an informal post-workshop wind
down and networking.

Students are
encouraged to join
IFITT and participate
in the interactive online database and continue their
discussions.
