Structuralization and Hierarchization of Items for Hotel Classification in Japan

This research is concluded based on a prior study about “Self-Assessment System for Hotel Classification in Japan”. There are some problems in Japanese hotel market. In order to solve these problems, I have developed a self-assessment system. The self-assessment system consists of a self-check, a branding and an extra-branding. I have gathered data for these elements from tourism websites, tourism guidebooks and interviews with hoteliers. I have analyzed the data with the KJ method. However the data analyzed with this method is not adequately structuralized and hierarchized. It might cause some serious problems for data management. Therefore I will research into a structuralization and a hierarchization of items for the hotel classification.
